Abstract

  • At January 2019, Nusa Tengara Timur Counties were experiencing inflation of 0.23 percent with Consumer Price Index of 135.00. Kupang city, was experiencing inflation of 0.28 percent when at the same time Maumere was on a deflation of -0.16 percent.
  • Nusa Tenggara Timur Province's inflation on January 2019 occurred because of price index increases at 6 group of expenditures, in which foods commodities were experiencing the steepest increase by 1.62 percent and foods ready to eat commodities prices increased by 0.45 percent. Meanwhile, transportation, communication, and financial services were experiencing price index decrease by 1.48 percent.
  • From 82 sampled cities for National Consumer Price Index, 73 of them were experiencing inflation and 9 others were experiencing deflation. Highest inflation was on Tanjung Pandan City by 1.23 percent and the lowest happened on Pematang Siantar with inflation of 0.01 percent. While biggest deflation was on Kota Tual with deflation of 0.87 percent and lowest deflation on Merauke on 0.01 percent
