Abstract

The February 2024 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is based on the calculation of NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries subsectors.

In February 2024, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP was 97.43 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 98.76 for the rice and secondary crop subsector (NTP-P), 103.52 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 88.57 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTP-TPR); 108.54 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 91.88 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).

There was a decrease of 0.31 percent in February 2024 when compared to the January 2024 NTP. The decline in the price index was due to the development of the price index received which was slower than the price paid. This decline occurred in all subsectors except the Food Crops and Crops Subsector.

In rural areas there was 0.65 percent inflation. This inflation mainly occurred in the subgroup of food, beverages
