Abstract

The April 2024 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is based on the calculation of NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.

In April 2024, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP was 98.34 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 98.50 for the rice and secondary crop subsector (NTP-P), 101.52 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 93.77 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTP-TPR); 107.73 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 91.72 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).

There was an increase of 0.40 percent in April 2024 when compared to the March 2024 NTP. The increase in the price index was due to the development of the receiving price index which was faster than the paying price. This increase occurred in the Horticulture, Smallholder Plantation Crops and Fisheries subsectors.

In rural areas there was 0.28 percent inflation. This inflation mainly occurred in the food, beverage, and tobacco subgroup.
