Abstract

  • The increase in HDI 2024 occurs in all dimensions, both longevity and life
    health, knowledge and a decent standard of living.
  • HDI growth in 2024 will experience a slowdown compared to growth
    previous year. All dimensions forming HDI have increased,
    especially the knowledge dimension.
  • In the dimension of long life and healthy living, babies born in 2024
    has a hope of living up to 71.83 years, an increase of 0.26 years
    compared to those born in the previous year. Data source
    life expectancy at birth using the results of the Long Form SP2020 (SP2020-LF).
  • In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling (HLS) for the population is 7 years old increased 0.01 year compared to the previous year, from 13.22 to 13.23
    years, while the average length of schooling (RLS) for the population is 25 years and over increasing by 0.20 years, from 7.82 years to 8.02 years in 2024. The HLS and RLS data sources use the March Susenas results.
  • Dimensions of decent living standards are measured based on average real expenditure
    per capita per year (adjusted) increased by 286 thousand rupiah (3.47 percent)
    compared to the previous year. Source of data on real expenditure per capita per year
    using the March Susenas results.
