Implementation of Statistical Business Register (SBR) 2024

BPS has developed the Statistical Business Register (SBR) as a framework for business-based surveys and for the preparation of business demographics. The SBR is a structured and regularly updated list of economic units in a region, which is maintained by a statistical institution (BPS) for statistical purposes. The SBR has an important role in producing economic statistics. The SBR serves to provide a population of economic statistical units as a sample frame for economic surveys and can be used to compile business demographics.

And for this 2024, one of the efforts to update SBR data is carried out through the *Updating Directory of Business / Economic Enterprises in the framework of SE2026*. This activity aims to update business/enterprise data that may not have been updated in BPS updating or survey activities and is expected to improve the quality of SBR data in providing an up-to-date business/enterprise database for the preparation of the economic survey master framework and business unit statistical data.

This activity was conducted in all districts/cities in Indonesia on July 1-31, 2024 using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method.
