Abstract

In October 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province will be 1.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.33. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang City at 2.02 percent with a CPI of 105.53 and the highest deflation occurred in South Central Timor Regency at 1.02 percent with a CPI of 104.42.
Y-on-y inflation in October 2024 occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.20 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.92 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.13 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.37 percent; health group at 0.86 percent; transportation group by 0.73 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.20 percent; education group of 1.10 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.51 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.80 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.82 percent in October 2024.
There was month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province for the period October 2024 of 0.26 percent. And there was also year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province during this period of 0.17 percent.
